--- title: | Pat Hernandez description: "Pat founded IGI in 1998 and built a company that, essentially, ties closely to the strengths in his background: mechanical, software, compute and sales. Pat's background includes military service, where he served four years in the US Air Force including time in England, as an aircraft mechanic working on anything that flew. Right after the military he went to work for McDonnell Douglas as a Quality Control Inspector and then for Boeing as an Quality Assurance Inspector for their 747-400 development program. Pat still holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P). He started his first business at the age of 24, but as a recession hit he decided to quit Boeing, close his business and head to college where he completed a four year technology degree in 2.5 years while working full time as a large commercial aircraft mechanic. Upon graduation he went to work for Division Inc. as a Software Engineer where he was involved with sales and programming of dVise visualization software. Before that he was Customer Support and Engineering Manager for Transom Technologies where he was involved with “Jack” human ergonomics visualization software.
