Commerce, MI (December 18, 2008) – IGI, a provider of large scale, high resolution visualization systems and ASC, an independent transportation design studio announced today that the two companies have formed an informal joint marketing partnership. The alliance is designed to allow both companies to collaborate on mutually beneficial marketing activities in the transportation design industry.
Commenting on the new relationship, IGI President, Pat Hernandez, says, "ASC and IGI are both independent players in the transportation design market with many of the same customers. For many, many years, ASC has provided highly creative design services to numerous major automobile manufacturers. IGI has delivered large scale visualization systems to many of those same companies. It just made sense to look for ways to combine some of our marketing activities."
Jeevak Badve, ASC's Design Studio Manager, says, "IGI has established itself as the leading visualization system provider to transportation designers and car design studios. We believe both companies will benefit from this partnership since our products and services are complimentary. They can learn from us and we can learn from them. It makes perfect sense for us to combine our efforts on certain marketing initiatives within the transportation industry in order to maximize results."
The first cooperative opportunity will see Badve making a presentation at IGI's 4K Forum event on January 27, 2009 in Indianapolis, IN. The 4K Forum is designed to bring together users, potential users, and key component providers of ultra high resolution visualization equipment to learn about current and future applications. In addition, ASC will provide high resolution imagery of new vehicle designs to IGI to allow the company to demonstrate the effectiveness of their wall sized, ultra high resolution (4096 x 2160 pixel) visualization displays to a multi-industry audience.
IGI, a division of Immersion Graphics Inc., is solely focused on the design, installation and servicing of large screen visualization systems. Founded in 1998, IGI has installed numerous ultra-high resolution projection systems throughout the U.S. in the automotive, higher education, medical, financial, and energy transmission markets, and for the United States military and other government agencies. Applications include industrial design, engineering and data visualization, mission-critical command & control room environments and a variety of emerging markets where the simultaneous visualization of 3D models and complex data by a group is essential to effective decision making.
