Commerce, MI (August 28, 2008) – Immersion Graphics Inc. has reached a significant milestone in its company history: the ten-year anniversary of its founding. Launched in 1998 with a single order by founder and company president, Pat Hernandez, the company's IGI division has firmly established itself as the premier provider of large scale, high resolution visualization displays to the automobile industry. IGI systems are used by design studios and engineering groups for design reviews, group collaboration and decision making and also in command & control rooms for 24 / 7 monitoring of critical systems. The company's Immersion Graphics division provides general audio / visual solutions to companies throughout the metro Detroit and Michigan markets.
Hernandez says the recipe for success in a competitive marketplace is simple. "My first priority is to do whatever it takes to stay in business," he says. "Secondly, we need to be profitable. And third, I try to create a nice working environment for my employees." The formula must be working. The company had its best year ever in 2007 despite the challenging business environment and Hernandez says that 2008 is shaping up to be just as strong. In addition, Hernandez recently opened up his first satellite office in Indianapolis, IN to help the company's new IGI division grow its advanced visualization business into national markets.
"This anniversary is definitely a special milestone for us, but I'm really looking forward more than looking back," says Hernandez. "Some of the display technology we're delivering nowadays to our customers was something we could have only dreamed about just a few years ago. I am excited as ever about our potential going forward to help bring these visualization solutions to market through our IGI division and the continued success of our Immersion Graphics division in Detroit's general A / V market."
