COMMERCE, MI (September 9, 2011) – IGI announced today that it will be a national value added reseller (VAR) in the United States to distribute Barco's Virtual Reality (VR) projection systems. A leading producer of three-chip DLP projectors, control room projection cubes and virtual reality systems, Barco is offering its latest 3D stereo projector, the Galaxy 4K, through IGI as part of a wide array of exciting product offerings. The projector's 4K resolution (4096 X 2160) along with the color saturation of three-chip DLP technology produces ultra-vivid image quality with exceptional color uniformity and finest detail. In addition, the Galaxy 4K offers a choice of three brightness levels from 12,000 up to a remarkably brilliant 32,000 ANSI lumens of light output to precisely meet user requirements.
Poised to make a big impression in virtual reality installations and other applications requiring ultra-bright 3D, Barco's Galaxy 4K offers stereoscopic viewing options ranging from active 3D stereo and active Infitec 3D in 2K resolution to a stacked setup that enables passive Infitec 3D in full 4K resolution. The addition of the stereo-compatible Galaxy 4K to its already wide spectrum of leading-edge projection system offerings represents a significant technology expansion for IGI. The company for the first time will now provide active or passive stereo display using a single 4K projector in its advanced visualization systems to customers throughout the US. Apart from now offering the full line of Barco DLP projectors for use in its PowerWalls and PowerWindows, IGI will also focus on the command and control room markets which comprise Barco video wall cubes and processors.
