For many years, the automotive design community desired the ability for their large rolling boards to be more dynamic, collaborative, and in some ways capable of a design review similar to that of the permanently integrated IGI PowerWalls used in other areas of the design center.
Digital Rolling Boards
With the latest generation of Samsung COB direct-view LED (The Wall), this technology now not only provides an incredible photorealistic image quality but is also affordable. Over the past several years, IGI has been designing and installing many automotive based PowerWalls and other large displays based on this new micro LED technology.
IGI can now fulfill the need for digital rolling boards. The IGI DesignView incorporates one of 3 micro-LED pixel pitches (.8, 1.2, 1.6) into an all-aluminum, extremely rigid, portable, completely self-contained, design review board.
IGI DesignView
All of the electronic components and workstation are located in the base of the system, out of view, and protected. The DesignView can be configured with either single-sided or dual-sided displays.
A DesignView display of roughly 21’ X 6’ with an 8x4 cabinet layout has an aspect ratio of 32:9 (two 16:9 right next to each other). That said, because of the nature of the technology, the IGI DesignView can be configured to any physical size.
Additional benefits of the DesignView include being very easily moved by hand, and the ability to quickly change designs, view many types of content, and ultimately spur quicker decision making and collaboration.
