IGI recently completed the installation of the largest curved Sony Crystal LED (CLEDIS ™) video wall in the USA. It is the first mobile installation of the Sony Canvas in the world! The entire system was built on a movable platform that floats just off the ground and can be positioned in different areas facility where it was integrated. This unique advanced visualization installation was 100% designed, fabricated and installed by the Advanced Visualization experts at IGI.
These pictures show the complex mechanical structure designed to create and maintain the curve of the 5,000lb canvas tile wall system, and also support the complete assembly from above. This method allows movement of the entire structure while maintaining the precision alignment of +/- 40 microns between modules.
The IGI custom designed mobile platform is approximately 27’2” x 6’9”. The structure with display is approximately 11’ at its maximum height. The overall display is 24’ X 9’.
The unique advanced visualization Curved Mobile Sony Crystal LED CLEDIS ™ is capable of displaying up to 8 stereoscopic and mono windows from different sources simultaneously. These windows can be resized and positioned around the screen for flexibility in presentations.
The compute solution driving the images generates a windows desktop display containing a total of 12.4 million pixels!
The total resolution of the display is 5760 X 2160 pixels. The curved radius of the display is 454”.
The system supports 3D stereo, windowing from multiple sources, and video conferencing. The functionality provides video to 9 other displays for use during large events. IGI will be providing a second 8’ x 4.5’ Sony CLEDIS display being installed in the same building.
