Posted by IGI. February 17, 2016 - Advanced Visualization, IGI Events, IGI News, PowerWall

For the fifth year in a row IGI supported The MAIN Event kicking off the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.  Taking place on the Sunday before the Detroit Auto Show yearly, The MAIN Event celebrates and awards leaders in automotive design and industry excellence.  For 2016 the event honored the executive achievements of Peter Schreyer and Daniel Simon.

It was an amazing night with 2500 automotive design and engineering professionals gathered in one place to honor great achievements in a beautiful setting in Motor City!

This was the third year of the event being located at Max M. Fischer Music Center, home to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra – and it was so crowded last year that they expanded the areas open to the event this year to accommodate which eased the standing room only crowd somewhat allowing for some great networking opportunities.  IGI provided a 23′ PowerWall for the presentation segment of the evening featuring a 4K, 30,000 lumen 4K projector. Additionally, IGI supported partners Dassault Systemes and 3DEXCITE with large scale 4K technology solutions for their CATIA and DeltaGen demonstrations.
